Renovated by Geneviève Charial, either in a modern and contemporary style, with mosaics, marble and wax-finished paint or with authenticity, solid wood furniture and typical Provençal bathrooms with large washbasins.
Crickets sing to you while you nap, mossy fountains splash gently, plane trees provide shade, fragrant valleys beckon you for a gentle stroll. The perfect starting point is L‘Oustau de Baumanière, where the tables are set on the terrace in the shade of the majestic mulberry trees.
At Baumanière, each swimming pool stands in its own haven of greenness with luxuriant vegetation affording shade for summer siestas, far from indiscreet eyes.
Personalities from all walks of Life enjoy the indescribable luxury offered by the hotels of l´Oustau de Baumanière: out-of-the-ordinary places in the exceptionally beautiful surroundings of Les Baux de Provence. Guests are lodged in three historic dwellings: L´Oustau, La Guigou, Le Manoir.
The main building of L´Oustau has 7 rooms, 3 junior suites and a main suite. Some were decorated by young dsigners like Stéphane Plassier, who planted a tree in the middle of Suite 63, some were renovated by Madame Charial in a contemporary style, while others have kept the authentic charm of the past.
Located 500 metres from the main building, La Guigou was renovated in 1998. This small country house with 5 rooms has kept its Provencal spirit intact, with a magnificent view of the village of Les Baux. La Guigou is highly sought alfter by large families, which can take it over entirely and use it like a private house.
Le Manoir, 900 metres from L´Oustau and very close to the Spa Baumanière, is the thrid location where L´Oustau de Baumanière guests are housed: a spacious Bastide with 7 rooms and 7 suites, some of which open onto a private garden or terrace. Breakfast is served in the formal French garden. Le Manoir has its own large pool and an arbour where lunch is served on hot days.
The vaulted dining room, with its great stone arches setting a tone of sober elegance and a majestic fireplace at the back for winter dinners by fire´s glow: the restaurant ist the true heart of L´ Oustau de Baumanière. It opens onto a shady treeace where guests are served from breakfast to dinner whenever the weather permits. As for the library, it serves as a lounge or can be used as a private dining room for up to 30 people.
The Spa Baumanière, in the gardens of La Cabro d´Or, opened its doors in spring 2007. It is a large, airy space, with bright, luminous treatment rooms opening onto a patio, offering facial and body treatments, massages a Hammam , fitness studio and sensory pool: the Spa Baumanière was conceived for sensual pleasure.
