Luxury hotel description - DLW Luxury Hotels Worldwide
Whether you’re planning your first visit to the Vail Valley or you’ve been part of our family of guests for years, I welcome you to the warmth and hospitality of the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail. Through four generations, the Sonnenalp has grown into a world-class hotel, offering the finest of luxuries and comforts. The Sonnenalp name and our tradition of hospitality go back nearly a century to Ofterschwang, Bavaria, where, in a simple ranch house, the Faessler Family opened a hotel that epitomized the finest in personalized service in beautiful surroundings. The spectacular setting in Bavaria inspired the Sonnenalp name – “Sun on the Mountains” – a name that translated perfectly when the Faessler family fell in love with Vail and opened a hotel here in 1979.
The Sonnenalp Resort of Vail features 115 luxury suites and 12 hotel rooms – all with a view of either Gore Creek or Vail Village. Each suite has a bedroom and a well-appointed, delightfully comfortable living room area. Custom-made Bavarian furniture, a gas-log fireplace and large bathrooms with heated floors complete each suite. The Sonnenalp Resort of Vail is pleased to offer a new lodging option in the heart of Vail Village. One Willow Bridge Residences is located at the corner of Vail’s Meadow Drive and One Willow Bridge Road, just steps from the Sonnenalp Resort and Vail Mountain.
Luxury residences: Brand new 2 and 3 bedroom condominiums feature elegant furnishings, gourmet kitchens and designer baths. Centrally located, guests have access to numerous dining options within the building as well as the renowned shopping and dining of Vail Village. Guests who make their lodging reservations through the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail enjoy full access to the Sonnenalp Spa, preferred tee times at the Sonnenalp Golf Club, charge privileges and the world-class personal service of this esteemed resort.
